We have had this tv for several months and love it. Great picture quality and pretty easy to setup. Only pain setting up was getting the hdmi sound from the tv (for amazon and pandora apps) back through to our denon speaker system since we don't use the
speakers on the tv. Had to go through several of the settings trying to find the right option to do this, otherwise the sound defaults through the tv speakers for these apps. I use a fancy univeral remote to program most of the options and it works well. Not sure why you would want a phone app since you would have to go through the wireless for it. I have the wireless adapter for the tv and it works ok but with my N router amazon videos are still slow sometimes or lag and connection blips but router is far away on second floor from tv on first. The wireless adapter also seems to get hot.

We love this HDTV. The picture is bright and crisp, with lots of ability to fine tune the picture to suit your tastes. Plenty of inputs and lots of adjustments available via the menus. The Viera Tools is a nice set of features as well, especially the ability to access lots of other net-based services like VUDU and lots of movie-streaming services. It was easy to set up. We had it up & going in a few minutes. As others have mentioned, the packing material was not very good - our set came with slight damage to the finish on one end, but since it did not really show, we decided to live with it. Better packing would definitely be a good thing.
